Communication Codes

Communication Codes are important within the VX Core Universe as it insures the massive amount of communication traffic is private, secure, and orderly. 3 Codes are used publicly but 5 exist in total.

Communication Codes indicate the priority of the communication and are limited to specific sub space frequencies.

Public Codes

Alpha

Alpha Code is the highest and most important Communication Code. Only used in the most critical emergencies that effect the galaxy. All VX Core Defense within the sub sector are to drop what they are doing and immediately head over to the source.

Bravo

Used in emergencies requesting assistance but are only used if the situation is life threatening but doesn’t effect the galaxy directly.

Charlie

Standard communication code. Used in every day communications anywhere at anytime within the galaxy. Its the most used communication code. Everything from direct call to computer networks used this communication codes for all non-emergency situations

Private Codes

Gamma

Used in private communications between VX Core Energy equipment including time sync, secrete info, transponders, and other non public.

Delta

Outdated and not used anymore by any public or private vessel but due to this low activity, criminal organizations utilize it due to the lack of public receivers and emitters in the public space

Communication Sub Codes

Sub Codes are used to assist in directing the communication. They are formatted with a sub sector, ping, receive min, directional. The * symbol is often for undefined, all, or repeat

Sub Sector: Which sub sector is the receiver in
Ping: The number of times to send the message
Receive Min: The number of return pings in order to determine that the receiver has received the message.
Direction: Optionally used if the message wants to be directional and not emitted out in all direction.

Example: CK9-16-8-32-{Message}.

Communication Code: Charlie
Sub Sector: K9
Ping: 16 Pulses
Receive Min: 8
Direction: 32 Degrees relative

A*-*-*-*-“Attack on PSR-2656”

This Message Code is VX Core Universe’s most urgent communication message ever sent. PSR-2656 (Often referred as “Time Keeper”) was under attack and since the Time Keeper ensures the entire galaxy is in sync including communications themselves, this message was received by nearly all VX Core Defense Vessels in the entire galaxy. This code has never been used before this. This Code is used to represent the most urgent situation ever possible.
